My vision & how it started

From a young age I fell in love with the jungle, the mountains and it's beautiful creatures. Born in the Netherlands, dreaming of traveling one day to the other side of the world, the Brazilian Amazon. I guess something runs in my DNA. But somewhere along the way I focused more on surviving in the modern world, where it is easy to think more with our mind instead with our heart. My passion still lived on. I worked with animals as a volunteer, I wanted to be a fashion designer but went for a more practical education instead. With a hobby on the side crafting stuff, but never created enough time to pursue. And then when I started triving in my career, earning money I went for my dream travel. My first encounter with the jungle in Peru and oh boy I loved it! I worked harder to save money and travel more. But did I not know NOW is the moment to live. And later when the Universe gave me a little push to dive deeper within, I rediscovered my rhythm, my remix. I found my truth again. It was at exactly the right moment. I found the magic in nature, a conscious lifestyle & rediscovering my passion.

Can I still not become a fashion designer? Can I not integrate my love for animals and nature into my every day job? 
And is it not the truth that the last years I gained a lot of knowledge and experience in my career and personal life to start my own business and co-run my husbands? 
And is it not more important to chase nothing but completely re-align with the flow, dance, sing & laugh? Okay that being said is not an easy task, but it is a goal. And luckily I have found and still find tools that help me to proceed.

Living partly in the mountains in Colombia with my husband (running a sourdough bakery) helps me more to reconnect with myself and learn from ancestral ways tuning in with nature's rhythm. But also remembering, happiness can always be found in ourselves and not with the things around us. You just need the right mindset, confidence and tools to make it happen. And there will not be an end goal, the path always continues and not in a straight line. It is with ups and downs and with curves. But when we look back on the road we will see that the dots always connect.

Now I am filling my days flowing on the vibe on nature. After years of practicing yoga, shamanic rituals and educating myself on holistic ways I am turning this into my life's mission. Besides this, my passion for vintage & handmade products from locals lives on. When I am in Latin America I'm searching for stories, crafted by indigenous. The Mochila really took my attention, a handwoven bag from cotton or wool and woven with a spiritual meaning. Coming in many colors and designs I love to go treasure hunting for the ones I like. And I've encountered other really nice things that can support a journey of consciousness. Here they have more connection with nature and don't chase the material life that much. My thoughts: why we don't take this culture, the ancestral wisdom as an example and follow their way, integrating old ways with modern life?
With my experience in Operations, Business & Marketing I decided to go fully for my holistic platform. Bridging the indigenous wisdom & ancestral crafts from Colombia to my home country the Netherlands.

I believe we need more un-seriousness in this modern world, live more from the heart. We are dealing with an overflow of negative media, knowledge that does not serve us, people with mental problems not knowing where to find the right tools. We were meant to live in communities, not as individuals. This is the idea where Live in the Remix as a holistic platform was born from. To inspire & motivate. Because we all deserve happiness & support. And I made it into me-vibes, adding ancestral wisdom & crafts as the base. Working with nutrition as fuel for our bodies. Back to Nature, learning from the ancestors. Just adding whatever I feel is right to add.

We are walking the path together even if everybody has their own, trying to find peace and joy in the present. Overcome challenges, find the beauty in the dark as there is also darkness in all beauty. Balance is the key.
